Our history

Founded in 1994 in the wake of the Velvet
Revolution, Ganttex has grown from a
family workshop into a NATO-trusted EU
manufacturing partner. Still privately
owned and led by the second generation,
we blend hands-on ownership with data-
driven production science to deliver
repeatable results.

OUR SEAMSTRESSES AND TECHNICIANS ARE QUIET PROFESSIONALS WHO TURN COMPLEX SPECS INTO DEPENDABLE GEAR. OUR LEADERSHIP HAS BEEN SHAPED BY SERVICE AND BRINGS A DUTY-OF-CARE MINDSET TO MANUFACTURING WITH DISCIPLINED PLANNING, TRANSPARENT PRICING AND ACCOUNTABILITY.

Today we operate two factories, employ +200
operators, and ship over 200 000 high-spec
tactical components annually.

After the fall of communism, Czech manufacturing began to rise again. Among the many new entrepreneurs was Antonín Chmelař, a skilled technician who saw opportunity in rebuilding the local textile industry. Together with Marcela Moudrová, he founded GANTTEX in 1994, producing the first small runs for German clients.

The early days were humble — a few machines, long nights, and endless attention to detail. But word travelled quickly. The work was precise, consistent, and honest — the kind of quality that doesn’t need advertising.

By 1997, GANTTEX had earned a strong position among its competitors. The team expanded, and a new factory in the centre of Pelhřimov became home to a growing workforce. When Antonín became the sole owner in 2004, the vision sharpened: focus on reliability, quality, and long-term partnerships — not short-term wins.

Through the 2000s, the company matured. It invested in better machinery, trained skilled seamstresses, and specialised in technically demanding products — tactical accessories. This focus on precision and certified quality became GANTTEX’s trademark — trusted by brands and defence partners across Europe.

The pandemic in 2019 tested every manufacturer. For GANTTEX, it became a turning point. Two generations came together — the founder’s decades of craftsmanship met the next generation’s drive for modernisation. That combination of heritage and reinvention became the company’s defining strength.

Today, GANTTEX operates two factories, employs over 200 people, and delivers hundreds of thousands of high-spec textile components every year.
But the future lies beyond production. GANTTEX is evolving into a true Original Design Manufacturer — a full-cycle partner that develops, prototypes, tests, certifies, and scales products end-to-end. In partnership with AMFG.ai, we’re fusing decades of craftsmanship with AI-driven automation to create a smart, seamless, and future-ready manufacturing ecosystem — one built not only to deliver quality products, but to deliver real value.
